A significant weight of rubber strips complicates the process of fixing them on the walls - you have to use the most strong glue, liquid nails or even self-tapping screws. Such fillets cannot hold on top of the wallpaper, which leaves its mark on the design of the room as a whole. At the same time, polyurethane baguettes best imitate luxurious gypsum stucco, repeat the unique texture of expensive tree species and realistically convey the luster of gilding.

In combination with stretch ceilings are rarely used. Firstly, it is difficult to fasten them only to the walls without touching the PVC film, and the curvature of the surface does not facilitate the task. Secondly, over time, natural material inevitably deforms - dries out, bends and cracks. This type of finish is suitable for suburban interiors, and the stretch fabric in this case should be matte and better if it is not a PVC film, but a fabric.

You can buy a beautiful rope of the required diameter (optimally 10-12 mm) in any curtain or sewing materials store, and then you just have to “press” it with a spatula into the gap and glue it with a thermal gun in the places of bends.

LED lighting around the perimeter of the stretch ceiling is an integral attribute of most modern interiors. This is a rather spectacular technique that allows you to visually increase the height of the room and make it lighter. As a rule, the cornice for highlighting is chosen in white with a smooth texture and is fixed after the luminous tape has been glued closer to the stretch fabric. Diodes can be chosen in any shade, there are also options with iridescent colors and different modes of operation (like Christmas tree garlands).

At first glance, it might seem that the design of the ceiling around the perimeter does not have a big impact on the design. But such an opinion is erroneous - at the junction of horizontal and vertical planes the visual border of the room passes, which means that it is simply necessary to create a decent frame there. A ceiling-mounted baguette can be compared to a frame, without which even the most beautiful picture looks unfinished. According to the general rule, the higher and more spacious the room, the wider and more noticeable the moldings should be. It is good if the colors, drawings or patterns of baguettes overlap with any vertical lines - columns, arches, portals, wall panels.

For different variations of the classical style, snow-white polyurethane skirtings with exquisite curls reminiscent of the alabaster decorations of antique halls are suitable. Gilding would be appropriate, but not solid, but in the form of subtle elements on a white matte background.
