Napkins are known to mankind a long time ago as a necessary means of hygiene during a meal. However, if earlier they were simply laid out on a table or twisted into scrolls, then today, real craftsmen have learned how to make real masterpieces from napkins, which are sometimes even a pity to use for their intended purpose. In this article we will talk about how to make gorgeous flowers from the most ordinary paper napkins. Moreover, such crafts become not only the accessory of the feast, but also more significant elements: they form magnificent bouquets, decor for the interior, gift wrapping, toys and much more. So let's get started!
Learning to make roses from napkins
Roses are the favorite flowers of many women, and, made with their own hands, they will double please with their beauty and warmth of handmade. In nature, there are a huge number of varieties of these beautiful flowers and we will look at how to make some of them.
Red chinese rose
All that is needed for work is one napkin of two colors (green and red) and scissors. First of all, we will form a bud. We take a red napkin, fold it in three and cut it, getting rectangular stripes. We form the bud from one strip: fold it lengthwise in half and wrap it around the index finger.
Next, we straighten the "petals" and form a small extension in the lower part, to which the stem will be attached. We attach a green napkin to the base of the bud and tightly pressing it with our fingers, twist it into the stem. Our rose is ready! Such a flower will be a great addition to table setting for any romantic dinner.
Lush yellow rose
To make this royal rose you will need yellow and blue napkins, a pencil and a beautiful ribbon or serpentine. First, we make blanks of petals, which will need 6 pieces for one flower.
You need to wind the yellow napkin up to half on a pencil, as shown in the photo, squeeze it tightly on both sides and remove the core - this will be one petal. We do the same with five more. From the blanks we form a bud: we turn the first one with a roller, and wrap each subsequent one around the previous one. When the bud is fully assembled, fix it with a ribbon at the bottom and decorate with a blue napkin.
Delicate pink flower
This manufacturing method is perhaps the most painstaking, but the flowers are very realistic. The pink double napkin needs to be disconnected and on both canvases cut the existing places of folds - you get 8 squares. We add each of them, but not in half, but indented, as shown in the photo - these are blanks for rose petals.
We take one workpiece and twist it from the middle to the edges, so that the petal turns out more natural. So do with another six squares. We twist the last workpiece clearly horizontally, without bending, and form a core from it, bending one edge down.
Next, we begin to fold the bud, wrapping the core with prepared petals. When all the petals are collected, fasten the flower with a thread or rope. If desired, you can make 7-9 such buds, plant them on wire stems, pre-wrapped in green napkins. You will get a wonderful bouquet that can be placed in a small vase or basket.
Spring napkin dandelion
To make the dandelion really magnificent, you need to prepare three-layer yellow napkins, a stapler and scissors. We fold the yellow napkin several times and cut it into squares. Next, put them on top of each other and fix in the center with a bracket. The corners of the resulting pyramid need to be cut so that a circle is obtained.
Gently scissors do the fringe around the edges. Lift each circle up and fluff - you get a magnificent dandelion. Since the reverse side of the product will be completely flat, such flowers can be used in the manufacture of children's applications, luxurious panels or decorations.
Making carnations from napkins
Now we will consider how to quickly and simply make volumetric carnations for a bouquet that perfectly decorate any interior. Napkins (three-layer) can be taken in any color of your choice: scarlet, white, pink, etc., and you also need a wire and a green napkin for the stem.
We lay out one napkin in front of us, carefully tear off a small strip along one edge. The remaining napkin must be folded with an accordion and tied in the middle with the same segment, forming a bow.
If you plan to make a clove on a rigid wire leg, you can not tear off the edge from the napkin, and form a bow by wrapping it with the end of the wire. Next, we lift each edge of our accordion and form a lush bud. At the final stage, we wrap the wire-stem with a green napkin. Carnation is ready! As you can see, the production of such a flower takes very little time, so it is quite realistic to make a magnificent beautiful bouquet.
Peony from napkins
The manufacture of bulk peonies is somewhat similar to carnations. Here it is also necessary to collect a napkin in an accordion and bandage it in the center, forming a bow. Next, you need to use a pair of scissors to round the ends, cutting off sharp corners. Raise each edge and straighten to get a lush bud. To make the flower look more impressive, you can use several napkins at once, which differ in shades and colors - at the bottom we lay one green, then dark lilac, and light on it, and fold the accordion. Such a flower will become a real decoration of any gift box.
In a similar way, you can make large flowers and decorate them with walls, hang them from the ceiling or chandelier. Accordingly, large-sized napkins and necessarily three-layer ones will be required. Additional volume can be obtained if two napkins are used to make one flower. Such decorations will help to quickly transform your apartment in preparation for the holiday, for example, on March 8 or Valentine's Day.
Beautiful napkin lotus
Skillful hands can turn even the most ordinary white napkin into an elegant floral copy that will become a worthy decoration of any festive table. To put together a lotus flower, you must use the origami technique, which, although it seems intricate at first glance, actually allows you to create wonderful crafts even for beginners.
So, we take a multilayer white napkin and fully deploy it. Bend all the corners to the center and flip. Repeat the procedure. Next, pressing the center with your finger so that the workpiece does not unfold, gently pull one corner, and then the rest. As you can see, the flower is almost ready, but to make it look more magnificent, you can give it additional volume. To do this, we recall that from the back there are four more corners directed towards the center - they also need to be carefully pulled out. Now our lotus is completely ready, it can be placed in the center of the plate, and fill the middle with a small bud of a living flower.
