The maximum functionality and compactness of this design makes it an excellent solution for small kitchens in urban apartments. At its core, Art Nouveau is close to modern trends - hi-tech and minimalism, although it has a number of differences.

The first thing that catches your eye when looking at the interior of the Art Nouveau kitchen is its gloss. Smooth, shiny surfaces mirror the light, giving the room depth. In decoration and furniture, darkened and translucent glass, polished steel, plastic, chrome inserts are used. Straight horizontal lines and smooth, rounded shapes dominate geometrically. A minimum of open shelves, things and equipment are hidden behind the plain facades of the headset, there is no decor.

In general, such a design looks pragmatic and can sometimes resemble an office. However, given the purpose of the kitchen, this is rather a plus - in a restrained interior it is easier to maintain order, and the atmosphere promotes self-discipline and saves time.

The color palette for kitchens in the Art Nouveau style is quite rich: both achromatic tones and rich berry, green, blue-blue, traditional beige-brown, orange-yellow, gold or purple are used. At the same time, the texture of the materials is perfectly smooth, clean and almost always glossy.

In order to avoid the feeling of sterility in the treatment room, you can add a little wood (floor, countertops), brightly arrange the apron, put colored dishes and chairs.

Black in Art Nouveau is more often used in accent contrasts, emphasizing white and steel. But there are also quite avant-garde options in the form of headsets of a shade of coal. Sometimes they can be diluted with wooden textures or large colored elements (for example, part of the facades are painted in orange, red, yellow). It is better to use black in spacious rooms.

However, do not neglect traditional materials: linoleum, tile, porcelain stoneware or moisture-resistant laminate are also quite suitable. The main thing is that the floor as a result is monophonic and with a mirror effect.

You can create a perfectly even vertical background in the Art Nouveau kitchen with the help of glossy painting (acrylic or latex water-dispersion paint), washable vinyl wallpaper, and PVC pane panels. Preference should be given to a monophonic finish, but a pattern in the form of soft bands or wavy lines is also allowed.

For an apron, you should choose a moisture-resistant coating, for example, a glass panel. If you place narrow photowall-paper with an urban landscape behind it, you can diversify the interior and give it an additional perspective.

The ideal solution for the ceiling in the Art Nouveau kitchen is a mirror stretch film. In white, it will visually increase the height of the room and expand the space.

A tablecloth in this style is not provided, as are covers for chairs, sofa cushions, etc.

Distinctive features of modern kitchen furniture are a smooth, as if cast from brilliant plastic surface, streamlined forms, the absence of panels, decor, forged or separately attached elements. For the convenience of placing dishes, kitchen appliances, appliances, products and various small things, the headset should have roomy shelves, drawers, vertical and angular grilles, and radius structures.

When ordering furniture, it is also worth identifying niches for built-in appliances - so the Art Nouveau kitchen will look neat and thoughtful. Open shelves are not welcome here because of their impracticality. Only a few translucent glass facades are permissible, behind which you can store wine glasses and cups.

The atmosphere of any room largely depends on the lighting. The best complement to the Art Nouveau kitchen is a neutral white or natural yellowish shade of lamps.
